Hunger is a real issue in Galveston County. The phrase I lean toward in understanding this is “food insecurity” – which helps point out that there are people who are not sure if they will eat or not. And, these people are OUR neighbors. The issues around hunger are many – but this is one we can address with immediacy by packaging healthy nutritious food to share with the food insecure.
