The Federation of Music Clubs Festivals Program is designed to promote the study of, and stimulate interest in American and world music literature, and encourage each participant to reach a high standard of musical achievement.
Galveston Musical Club is the proud host of this event. Galveston Music Club has been an active part of musical life in Galveston since it’s inception in 1892 as the Girls’ Musical Club. A cooperative effort of about 3 dozen local teachers and their student affiliate members, Galveston Music Club supports the study of music primarily through the Federation Festival and through the Izola Collins Memorial Scholarship.
